Opening Ceremony

Location: Jack K. Williams Administration Building

Gather at the steps of the Jack K. Williams Administration Building for the official kickoff of the sesquicentennial celebration. The 150th anniversary of our university will be commemorated with an official proclamation and remarks by leadership, along with student performances celebrating Texas A&M’s rich history and traditions. The event is open to the public with a reception to follow.

Location: Kyle Field

Join us for a special Fightin’ Texas Aggie Yell Practice held in Kyle Field, followed by a one-of-a-kind drone show to kick off our sesquicentennial celebration. Open to the public.

Spirit of 150 Week

Location: Various

Celebrate with a week full of activities across all campus locations, including birthday cake and ice cream, the opening of a historical gallery exhibit in the Stark Galleries, speakers, concerts and more! Check the university calendar in the fall for more information about specific event details.

Sesquicentennial Speaker Series

Location: Rudder Auditorium

Kicking off in the fall, Texas A&M will host a series of speaker events celebrating our 150th anniversary. The speaker series events will feature current and former students who will share perspectives on how Texas A&M has shaped the state, the nation and beyond throughout its rich history. Open to the public. Check the university calendar in the fall for more information about specific event details.

The Aggie Family Parade

Location: College Station Campus

For the first time in university history, Family Weekend will feature a celebratory parade through campus with student organizations, college floats, community marching bands and more. The local community, former students, faculty, staff and students are invited to watch this historic procession led by the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band and the Corps of Cadets.

Closing Festival

Location: Aggie Park

The official 150th anniversary celebration will conclude with an outdoor festival in and around Aggie Park, which is open to the public. The festival will feature carnival rides, games, live music, food vendors and Aggie product and apparel vendors.
